Watch Care

The following tips help you to maintain your time piece to avoid serious damages and expensive repairs
Service your watch periodically based on the manufacturer’s recommendations (generally every 5 years).
Replace battery as soon as the watch stops running or second hand jumps every few seconds. A dead battery will leak out and damage the movement. If you plan on not using the watch, remove the battery.

 Avoid Water Damage
After adjusting the time or winding the watch, you need to secure the crown to prevent damages caused by moisture or dost.
If your watch has a screw-in crown (common in many dive watches) push the crown in and rotate it clockwise (to the right) until you feel it locks into place.

Please note that the deep levels are lab test levels and do NOT mean that the watch can be used that deep in the water, for example 5 bar resistance doesn’t mean that the watch can be used 160 feet under water

A watch’s gasket or rubber ring maintains its water resistance. Over time (about 3 years), gaskets lose their elasticity and no longer protect the watch. We add an average of one year (from manufacturing to the day the watch was purchased) to the age of the gasket of a new watch.

The chart below shows the water resistance of your watch.

Other Things To Avoid

Avoid exposure to Shampoo, soap, body lotions, extreme temperature or sudden temperature changes which accelerate the aging rate of gaskets.
Replace crown if it fails to properly fix into the post. Replace crystal if cracked.
Do not set the time or push buttons while the watch is wet.
Avoid leaving your watch in the sun or exposing it to sudden temperature fluctuation- it can cause malfunctions and permanent damage.
Clean the bracelet using a soft brush and warm water. Wash and dry one side of the bracelet at a time. This procedure should only be done if the watch is water-resistant.
